Katy and Jordan's one-of-a-kind wedding

There are some couples that just glow when they are together; Jordan and Katy are such a couple.  Their love has stood the test of time, yet they interact as though they are newly in love; it's a privilege to witness!

Katy and Jordan's wedding ceremony on the dock of the Comox Marina was absolute perfection, and I felt so honoured to be their photographer.  I hope that these images provide them with a lifetime of sweet memories!

Amanda & Matthew

Amanda and I visit each other approximately once every 6 months when she cleans my daughters' teeth!  Yes, Amanda works alongside our wonderful dentist, Dr. Burgess, and the girls and I always look forward to seeing her.  Her disposition is as bright as her smile!

I was happy to meet Amanda's future husband and their daughter during the engagement session and I couldn't be happier for this little family.  They have a beautiful, playful energy about them and their love for each other shines through every photograph.

I know that their wedding will be spectacular and I am very grateful to have been chosen as their photographer.  I look forward to every moment of this journey with them.

Love on the dock!

It seems hard to imagine, in the midst of this gorgeous summer weather, that it was just over a week ago that Katy and Jordan and I were trying to decide whether we should postpone their engagement session or brave the stormy weather.  I'm so glad that Katy and Jordan decided to go for it!   I love shooting in passionate weather and luckily, the downpour didn't occur until after our shoot.

We decided to meet at the Comox Marina, which is also the site of Katy and Jordan's upcoming wedding.  I know Katy's mom and sisters, but had only met Katy and Jordan once prior to our session, so it was a great opportunity for me to connect with the two of them before the wedding.

I have to say that the love these two people have for each other is tangible.  They have that wonderful, giddy, youthful, love-energy between them and it's a treat to witness.  I loved the way Jordan and Katy looked at each other throughout the session; their mutual adoration just jumps out of these photos.

I am so looking forward to photographing this wedding!

A 'Grotto' Wedding

   Photographing Brian and Leigh's wedding last weekend at The Grotto was SUCH FUN!  Besides being an absolutely stunning couple, Brian and Leigh are classy, gracious, genuine, loving and just so darn happy to be together!

Before I get to the photos of the newlyweds, however, I want to share a few shots of their guests.  You can tell a lot about a wedding from the expressions on guests' faces, and I think these images are a good indication of just how special this Grotto Wedding was.

Zinc Strategies

I know Marci Hotsenpiller not only as the smart, savvy, successful, stunning owner/operator of Zinc Strategies, but also as a dear friend.

These are exciting times for Zinc Strategies: this past February, Zinc moved to The Hub on 4th street, Marci recently welcomed Lindsay to her team, and a new website is in the works.

I've worked with Marci on many projects over the past few years and have the utmost respect for her as a business woman.  I have learned so much at her side.
