Instead of berating myself for not writing blog-posts for the past six months (YIKES) or attempting to rationalize my hiatus, I'm going to follow the advice of my dear old colleague, Len Sampson, who used to end our conversations by saying, "Carry on then, Karen."
SO...I shall simply 'carry on!'
I have a very happy story to share with you. You will remember Roberta, the lovely Angel who asked me to photograph her elderly dog, Bear, before he passed away. Well, Roberta recently adopted a beautiful little puppy named Banjo, and I had the good fortune to photograph the two of them as they spent their first full day together at home.
Banjo has, quite possibly, the sweetest little puppy-personality I have ever come across. As I was photographing him, I could not stop cooing and saying such things as, 'he is so cute!' and "how precious," and "that's so sweet." I couldn't help myself; he is just a wonderful little guy.
When I look at these images I am filled with joy for both Roberta and Banjo. They are obviously madly in love with each other already, and I can't wait to see the adventures they get up to in their lives together.
As you look through the images, keep an eye open for their canine-neighbour Lucy, (who was very patient when Banjo somehow managed to steal her bone,) and for the portrait of Bear that hangs on the wall outside of Roberta's bedroom. I think the spirit of Bear is probably quite relieved that his Angel has a new love in her life!
Enjoy!
