Costco Opening | Comox Valley Photographer

Residents of the Comox Valley may be split on whether the new Costco is a good thing for our little town, but there was no denying the excitement in the air this morning during the ribbon cutting ceremony at their newest store.

I was hired to photograph the event, and was surprised at the number of shoppers waiting at the door at 8:00 am!  After a few speeches and a ribbon cutting ceremony, the happy throng was let loose to cruise the brand new aisles.

What are your thoughts?  Will you be shopping at Costco?

  1. i'm not going to rush out and get a card just yet... nothing i really 'need'. the few visits i accompanied with friends over the years (and i do mean maybe 3 or 4) i overspent so it's probably best i just avoid it... for now. now, if they took visa, then i might be tempted!

great scoop on the photo op and nice job!

  2. I hear what you're saying Jennifer. You have to be very disciplined to shop there!

Having said that, I've never suffered buyer's remorse after shopping at their Nanaimo store!

Thanks for checking in, Birthday Girl!
