Back-yard Wedding/Comox Valley Photographer

Charity and Ron wed on July 31st; a very auspicious day in my book, as it's the anniversary of my own wedding!

I first met this vivacious couple last winter when I took portraits of their newly blended family, and I was  delighted when Charity called to ask me to be their official wedding photographer.  Charity and Ron have a playful and solid connection that speaks to the possibility of new beginnings.

Their wedding was an intimate affair in the couple's gorgeous back-yard.  The positive, loving energy emanating from their guests was palpable.

I loved the way Ron took Charity's face in his hands for their first kiss as a married couple. (Ron's daughters and Charity's sons are taking in the moment.)

We decided to capture a shot of all of the guests:

I asked the group to find somebody to smooch for this next shot.  See how many kisses (and near misses) you can count!  (I love the kids on the right in the front row!)

After the ceremony, I spent a few minutes with Ron, Charity and their beautiful arbutus:

The fun-loving energy of this couple was perhaps best captured  in this series of cake-cutting shots:

And for some reason, I feel compelled to share this image of one of Charity and Ron's furry guests:

Thank you, Charity and Ron, for choosing me to document your lovely wedding!  I wish you many happy years together.
